To sum up the first year of the
project we had an evaluation that was conducted amongst teachers and students
of our school. The evaluation process concerned three main areas that is the
management of the project (we checked whether all activities are implemented
according to the schedule), the accessibility of the products created by
students and teachers and the general level of knowledge about the project
within our school community.
We came up with the following
results:
Management – it was assessed on the basis of documentation created during the past 4-5 months and compared to the schedule written by the coordinators prior to the beginning of the project; it appeared that generally all tasks are implemented on time, any delays in the schedule were caused by emergency cases (illnesses of teachers or the need of training to use new IT tools); our research showed that with every passing month the management processes become more and more effective.
Accessibility of the products to students and teachers – we had an online survey amongst teachers and also had an oral survey with chosen groups of students to check whether they know how to find all products created in the project.
Information about the project – we try to promote and involve into the project not only the groups of lower-high school but also classes of our primary school; there are around 700 students in our school therefore at some point we wanted to know what is their general knowledge of aims of the project, ways of finding information about it and some other questions we found relevant.
