Eating disorders (Poland)

Students of our school were asked to prepare presentations about eating disorders, the dangers of diets and the factors that lead to eating disorders. The presentations that were discussed during Biology lessons provided valuable information on the most common eating disorders i.e. obesity, anorexia, bulimia and compulsive overeating.

You can see the effects of the students’ work as well as the overall analysis of the topics below.

What is more, they created posters listing nutrients in foods that helped their classmates to understand how to keep to the rules of balanced diet.

Reasons for, dangers connected with and ways of preventing eating disorders were discussed by our biology teachers and students in great detail during the biology classes. Despite that our home economics teacher decided to support this subject during her lessons and prepared with students healthy snacks (based on fruit and cereals) to show them how they can enrich their everyday diet with healthy nutrients and vitamins. Photos of those tasty snacks you can admire below ;)

Supportive initiatives - The European Day of Languages (Poland)

To celebrate the European Day of Languages and to promote one of the project goals (that is enhancing speaking skills of our students) we prepared a special event called ‘Let’s talk’. During one of the lunch breaks students could come to the room no 104 and talk with their teachers in English, Spanish and German. They could ask five questions and after the ‘small talk’ they were rewarded with small gifts. That was a very rewarding experiences also for the teachers as we did not expect such an enthusiasm! ;)
