The Finish adventure: Day 1 and 2! ;) (Poland & Finland)

On Sunday the 8th January, the Polish and Italian guests finally arrived to Vesanto! The moment we all had been waiting for! ;) 

The happy but tired students stayed with their host families on Sunday, and gathered to the Vesanto school hall for the first time early on Monday morning. The Finnish students had prepared a Welcome Event for the guests with music performances, quizzes, dancing etc. The guests also got Welcome Bags decorated by the Finnish students and containing timetables for the week, woolly socks to keep the guests' feet warm, reflectors to keep them safe on the dark Finnish roads, and some Finnish treats!

After the welcome event, everybody headed outside for ice-skating, sledging and playing in the snow! What a great start for an amazing week! :)

What is more, they were given a warm welcome with hot Finish lunch and a lot of physical activities which main aim was to promote healthy patterns of behaviour and intercultural integration. ;)

Trip to Finland (Poland)

It’s time to start the Finish adventure! ;)

Today our students started their trip to our partner school in Vesanto. They are going to participate in workshops devoted to various sports, physical activity in general, traditional Finish cuisine and Internet addiction. We can’t wait to hear their stories about Finland and Finish culture! 

Internet addiction (Poland)

In the 21^st century technological development became a fact. Most of us are no longer able to function without technology in various forms. Furthermore, Internet has become the leading source of knowledge that creates various possibilities of development on professional and personal levels. However, despite many obvious benefits that came to us with this development, there are also some drawbacks that should be taken into account.
